The Legend of Kris Kringle

Throughout the world there are many differing practices and stories surrounding the Christmas season. Kris Kringle's Scandinavian legend states that over Christmas, people would make wishes to God. It was St. Nicholas responsibility to carry their requests up to heaven. Kris Kringle was given the privilege of delivering the fulfilled wishes back to the people. Kris Kringle is represented as a Viking at our Luncheon because of his Scandinavian origins.
