Tickets are now available for our 30th Annual Kris Kringle Luncheon, coming up on December 11, 2015.  The Luncheon will be held at the Prince George Civic Centre.  Doors will open at 10:45 a.m. so you can check out our Silent Auction and bid on wonderful items!  Activities begin at 11:30 a.m., and there are some wonderful prizes to be won, including many door prizes. Lunch starts at 11:45 a.m., with things winding up around 1:15 p.m.

The Luncheon provides a delightful and delicious way to usher in the holiday season. The Luncheon has become one of the City's must-attend events. We hope to see you there!

Tickets are $38 each. You can seat 10 to 12 at a table, although anything more than 10 gets a bit crowded. Call the front office at 250-563-7168 ext 0 to purchase your tickets, or stop by to the CDC at 1687 Strathcona to purchase them in person.

The Legend of Kris Kringle

Throughout the world there are many differing practices and stories surrounding the Christmas season. Kris Kringle's Scandinavian legend states that over Christmas, people would make wishes to God. It was St. Nicholas responsibility to carry their requests up to heaven. Kris Kringle was given the privilege of delivering the fulfilled wishes back to the people. Kris Kringle is represented as a Viking at our Luncheon because of his Scandinavian origins.
