24th Annual Kris Kringle Luncheon

Prince George Civic Centre

December 4th, 2009

Tickets $38

Kris Kringle

The Kris Kringle Luncheon offers a delightful and delicious way to kick off the holiday season.  The event has become one of the City's must attend events.  It offers a wonderful holiday feast, including gourmet desserts and handmade chocolates.

This year promises big things as we move the festivities over to the Civic Centre, where we will be offering new activities and an expanded silent auction. As always, there will be many prizes to be had by lucky guests, through door prizes and raffles.  One of the highlights of the Luncheon is the Annual Balloon Raffle for a Gold Ring from Ken's Goldsmithing.  They have donating the absolutely stunning ring (below right) to be given away this year.

The Legend of Kris Kringle

Kris Kringle's Scandinavian legend states that in the Christmas season, people would make wishes to God. It was St. Nichols responsibility to carry their requests up to heaven and present them at God's throne. Kris Kringle was given the privilege of delivering the fulfilled wishes back to the people. Kris Kringle is represented as a Viking at our Luncheon because of his Scandinavian origins.
