Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Our daycare and preschool services are designed to provide an environment that will support and enrich a child’s development. Studies have shown that the early years shape a child’s future. Every child is an individual and will grow at different rates. Our Early Childhood Educators are trained to provide developmentally appropriate programming for all children. Our programs are inclusive, including children special needs and children with typical development. We enhance the whole child, meeting with the child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, creative and physical developmental needs; we work to help develop healthy children with improved developmental outcomes, providing the necessary skills that children need for success in the school system and beyond. As these are provided at the Child Development Centre, there are many developmental professionals available to complement these services.
Our program acts as a resource and support to parents. All the classrooms have an open door policy in which parents may experience the day through their child’s eyes. We also offer parenting groups through family services. Parents are encouraged to participate in our wonderful family events such as the Family picnic, and our Christmas Party.
Daycare
We have daycare spaces for children from 30 months to 5 years of age. These services are available for children of all abilities. Our hours of operation are from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm daily.
Our program includes the following :
- daily breakfast
- developmental assessments and referrals
- field trips and community
exploration
- family social activities and outings
- art, music, stories, circle times, and opportunities to build friendships
- opportunities for parents to receive support, meet other parents, and learn new skills
- a safe, friendly place to learn and grow.
Daycare Fees
3-5 years: $650.00/month
$35.00/day
18 months to 3 years: $850.00/month $45.00/day
Preschool
The CDC offers preschool services for children age 30 months to 5 years of age. We employ highly qualified Early Childhood Educators in a caring, nurturing environment.
Preschool provides:
- Indoor and outdoor activities
- Parent support
- Kindergarten readiness skills
- Socialization and friendships
- Field trips and community exploration
- Fostering of a child’s development of skills
- Circle time, exploration of music, literature, language, movement and fun
- Art and sensory activities
- Play experiences that encourage a sense of humor and fun
Preschool Fees:
Two
days per week: $110.00 per
month
Monday/Wednesday am or pm
Tuesday/Thursday am or pm
We also offer specialized therapy groups to assist children with delays in the areas of speech/communication and fine motor/hand eye coordination. For more information, please see our Specialized Programming page.
